![]() We are no longer able to use the office we had previously used for Hollow Knight, which has slowed communication and made it much harder to get high-quality audio files for the game. The outbreak of Covid-19 has hindered progress as well. Due to the bigger scope of Silksong and the game's more complex enemies and bosses, this problem has been multiplied tenfold, causing numerous bugs and issues that have taken up a huge chunk of development time. Some of you may recall how one of the biggest problems we faced during Hollow Knight's development was playmaker, the system used to program enemies, randomly flipping variables, causing unexpected and unwanted results. However, many issues through the game's development have forced us to push back even farther than we had originally hoped. We had originally planned to release the game in the first half of this year, or the latter half if we were unlucky. Many of you have noticed just how long it has been since the last update, and how we still haven't given a release date, or even an estimate.
